The week's movers, week of Jul 6

Charlotte Tilbury holds the top at 73. Rhode and Rare Beauty post the week's biggest jumps. Anastasia Beverly Hills is the only name to cool.

Cosmetics ran broad this week. Eleven of the twelve names the desk watches most closely gained ground, and the climbs came from across the shelf, prestige and selective names moving together rather than one corner of the board carrying the rest.

Each mark is a brand, placed by its momentum score and the change on the week. Above the line gained ground; below it cooled. The labelled three are the board leader, the week’s biggest gain, and the only name to slip.

Read the map left to right and the week looks healthy. Almost every mark sits above the no change line, and the gains were spread wide rather than stacked on one or two names. That breadth is the kind of momentum the desk trusts most, the sort that builds across a run of reads instead of arriving in a single loud night.

#BrandScoreOn the week

The story is the breadth, not any one spike. Charlotte Tilbury holds the top at 73 and is still climbing, but the names behind it are close and most are gaining too. Chanel and Le Labo carried the prestige end up a few points each without a single viral read between them, the quiet accumulation that tends to hold.

Rhoderising · selective68.1+13.8

Two names moved faster than the field. Rhode and Rare Beauty each added better than twelve points in a single read, the steep, sudden climb of a name catching in the feeds. That shape is worth telling apart from the rest of the board.

The one name going the other way is Anastasia Beverly Hills, off nine points after five reads of climbing to a high, the only mark below the line this week.

A score says how much attention a name holds. What it cannot say on its own is what kind. A name igniting on short video and a name whose earlier surge is settling into steadier ground can print nearly the same number as they pass each other, one on the way up and one easing back to its level. The desk reads the arc, ignition through conversation to search, not the loudest number attached to the name. And it waits. A single soft read is noise until it is two, so Anastasia stays where it is and gets watched, not relabeled.
